Some tips to spend a “typical day” at the Venice Lido during the Festival by Patrizia Saolini 31st August 2013
If you love Venice, you know that during summer week-ends it is far better to get away from the crowd in town to seek comfort at the Lido, where you can find a peaceful spot. Today is the perfect day to take a trip by motor boat (or by ferry boat) and visit the Cinema Festival.
This is the ideal schedule for a “typical day” during the festival:
- first thing, breakfast at the Leon d’Oro bar, one of the most traditional bars in Venice;
- later, some rest at the Movie Village, composed of several locations used as “press rooms” for press conferences and video showings. It is easy to get there from the Venice Lido, using the exclusive shuttle service;
- as an alternative to lunch, an excellent Brunch on the beach.
Besides taking pictures with friends, of course, do not forget to watch a good movie!
