london-2014-copeHere I am in the heart of London Fashion Week, precisely in Somerset House, headquarter of S/S 2014 fashion shows, as well as privileged destination for buyers, bloggers and the international press. This year this location is enriched by The Shop, a trendy store offering a selection of garments and items with a casual and metropolitan flair. This location also attracts DJ sets with Made-in-Britain music, includes a very wide showroom displaying the creations of many designers from all over the world and several cafeterias to avoid rain showering the place since my arrival here.

In spite of the strongly autumnal climate, if you take a look at summer catwalks, you will capture new seasonal trends: crunchy transparencies and glossy fabrics play the lion’s share, often overlapping on geometric prints and strong and blinding colors. One of the most promising brands that is worth noticing is undoubtedly House Of Holland, which perfectly manages to combine London underground vanguard and the unquestionable self-assurance of British ladies. Another name worth highlighting is Richard Nicoll, well-known for clean lines and candid blazers that will be a seasonal pass-partout. Accessories include Mawi’s clutches, the most photographed items and we will undoubtedly see some IT girls wearing them, which will launch these accessories.

That is all for today. I will give you updates tomorrow, hoping that the sun will peep in and warm our next day, even though, judging from the dates of fashion shows, the agenda is already on fire!
